Lion's Field Hockey

The fall season would not be complete without several wins by our very own Lady Lions Field Hockey team. The Lady Lions had a great run this season ending with an 8-12-1 record during their season and went on to play two rounds in playoffs. Our Field Hockey team put in hard work this entire season and fought hard in every game. Each game this year was intense and thrilling to watch as these ladies battled every week on the field, but a few of the games have been euphoric. One Saturday morning game against Haddon Heights, known as “the comeback game”, was such a prideful moment in the season. It provided reviving energy for the team to continue the season. Crushing Catholic was an unforgettable time; during that game, the Lady Lions fought on the field, fired up the sidelines, and honored the incredible seniors that put so much dedication, hustle, and love into the team. The seniors honored during that heartwarming game were: Emilee Hillman, Chloe Bennett, Kelsey Brown, and Cheryl Baker making it was one of those moments where you can’t do anything but smile creating the highlight of the season. All the girls put in a lot of hard work in this 2019-2020 season and plan to do the same in the following.  Written by Sadia Islam
