2021-2022 Student Course Selection

2021-2022 Student Course Selection
The selection of courses for a student is perhaps the most impactful academic decision that a family makes on both the child’s high school experience and on the opportunities that the child will have after graduation. A student’s high school coursework should be chosen by considering both a student’s interests and their aspirations beyond high school.

We have multiple videos available on our YouTube Channel - GHS Live - to help provide students and parents with an overview of everything that they need to know to prepare for the course selection process. Counselors will be meeting with 8th through 11th grade students throughout late January and early February. Every student must select 9 classes (including lunch) and 3 unique alternate classes. Parents will have the opportunity to review their child’s course selections for next year throughout the week of February 16th and can request changes.

Next year's Course of Study Bulletin can be found under our website's Guidance dropdown menu. Please take the time to have a continuous discussion with your child about this information, the courses they would like to enroll in next school year, and how these courses connect to their current interests, work ethic, and future goals.
